Sponsorship and independence
Pelican Family Office Insights is owned and funded by Pelican Family Office (Pelican Advisory LLC), a multi-family office in Covington, LA. That sponsorship is disclosed on every page. This is not independent journalism, and we do not present it as such: the sponsor reviews content before publication, and the publication exists in part so readers who value this material can discover the firm behind it.
What sponsorship does not buy on this site: invented data, disguised advertising, attacks on competitors, or claims about outcomes. Articles describe how things work in general — they do not describe or promote the sponsor's services, and the sponsor is not named inside article bodies except where a forthcoming research program is attributed.
Accuracy and sourcing
- No fabricated numbers. We publish no statistic, dollar figure, or survey result that we cannot source. Until our own research is published with open methodology, our articles are deliberately qualitative.
- General knowledge, clearly framed. Explainers describe commonly understood structures (family offices, advisory registration, the roles of CPAs and attorneys) in general terms, without state-specific legal or tax claims.
- Illustrations are labeled. Hypothetical examples are framed as hypothetical. Photography on this site is AI-generated illustration of scenes and objects; we do not use AI-generated images of real people.
- Drafting tools are disclosed. Drafts may be prepared with editorial and AI writing assistance. Every article is reviewed and approved by the editorial team before publication and carries a publication date; substantive updates are dated on the page.
What we never publish
- Personalized investment, legal, or tax advice, or predictions of outcomes
- Fake reviews, undisclosed advertorial, or content posing as independent evaluation
- Fabricated experts, quotes, or interviews
- Claims about pending legal or regulatory matters, ours or anyone's
Corrections policy
If we publish a factual error, we correct the page and add a dated correction note at the point of the change. To request a correction, email editor@pelicanfamilyofficeinsights.com with a link to the page, the statement at issue, and the basis for the correction. We respond to every good-faith request.
